PLAYA DEL CARMEN, MX – New Mexico State took over early and never looked back as the Aggies moved to 3-0 at the Cancun Challenge and 6-0 on the season. The domination continued later with Utah Valley thrashing Samford in a game that saw them leading by 28 at half. The Wolverines also finished the Challenge 3-0. In the nightcap, the UC Irvine Anteaters controlled the contest post to pillar, snapping a two-game losing skid.

Georgia State 58, New Mexico State 77
New Mexico State (6-0) continued its undefeated start to the 2025-26 season today, powering past Georgia State (1-7) by a score of 77-58 inside the Hard Rock Riviera Maya. With the victory, the Aggies improve to 6-0 for the first time since the historic 1969-70 season, a year that ended with a trip to the NCAA Final Four.
Samford 45, Utah Valley 89
Jackson Holcombe scored a game-high 21 points and Trevan Leonhardt added 15 to lead Utah Valley to an 89-45 win over Samford on Wednesday night in the Wolverines' final game of the Cancún Challenge at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. The victory caps a perfect 3-0 showing for Utah Valley (5-2) at the Cancún Challenge. The Wolverines opened the event with a 79-72 home win over UC Irvine before going 2-0 in Mexico, defeating South Dakota State 79-52 on Tuesday and Samford on Wednesday.

Kyle Evans, a transfer from Colorado State, pulled down nine boards on ten points as the anteaters snap a two game losing skid. The Anteaters got to the line 28 times, hitting 21 of the 28 attempts. UC Irvine grabs a win in the final contest of the Cancun Challenge.
