Women’s Cancun Challenge field for 2025 starting to assemble

 – Officials with the Women’s Cancun Challenge college basketball event have some early information to share on plans for 2025, which will be the 20th edition of this unique tournament that takes place in Mexico during Thanksgiving Week at the all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya.

Powered by Triple Crown Sports, this gathering of outstanding women’s basketball programs is widely appreciated for its competitive environment while also offering all involved a warm-weather escape ahead of the start of conference play. At the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, players and fans will be just walking distance from their rooms to the converted ballroom that hosts the competition.

For the women’s event, set for Nov. 27-29 and streamed on FloHoops, there are two separate groupings of teams. The Yucatan Tournament teams will play two games each – North Carolina State, Southern Miss, TCU, UAB and two more programs TBA. The Mayan tournament will be a three-game round robin featuring Columbia, North Carolina, Kansas State and South Dakota State
